Remember Me Home is the second music video release to come out of the Feel Brave Series of Books (little stories about big feelings for 4 - 7 year olds) - as another ‘daily dose’ in the Feel Brave free ‘1 Dose/Day’ emotional wellbeing programme for schools . A song for those who have loved and loss. To help children (and adults) grieve by opening up conversations through music. Change, loss and grief are difficult and children often have questions that we can't answer but we don't have to have the answers, we just have to have the conversations to help with the healing process.
The song was written by best-selling award-winning children’s author Avril McDonald (born and raised on the Kapiti Coast) and was recorded locally on the Kapiti Coast at Audiosuite studios at Lindale. The music video was filmed and produced by local production company Soulhaven Creative Productions and the two vocalists are locals Tui Tahere-Katene and Unity Wara.
The song will now be shared with schools around the world as part of the Feel Brave wellbeing programme, and is going to be launching on the global safe channel for children ‘Azoomee’ (who currently have 45 million subscribers). The Feel Brave content is currently on Air NZ Inflight Entertainment and on TVNZ’s ‘Hei Hei’ children’s channel.
The Feel Brave ‘1 Dose/Day’ free wellbeing programme developed and delivered by Avril McDonald is now in more than 350 schools across 10 countries (200 of those schools being in New Zealand) and growing. The NZ Life Education Trust use the Feel Brave books and strategies in all of their mobile classrooms.
