This weekend, the Latino band 'Banana Mundo' are off on their first ever north Island tour - playing at Holy Guacamoly on Thursday 13th Feb 6pm at Our Place in Tauranga on Friday 14th Feb 7pm and at the Colville Hall in Colville on Saturday 15th Feb 2020 8pm. Entry for the Saturday gig is $20 on the door Thursday and Friday are free entry.
Banana Mundo is a Latin and Afro-Beat band with musicians from Argentina, Uruguay, France, Switzerland, England, and New Zealand. Their unique mix of skills and styles brings you a vibrant dance able mix of original music, with influences of jazz, salsa, cumbia and funk.
Banana Mundo was formed about a year ago, after a series of Monday night jam's.
Banana Mundo recently finished 2019 by opening the New Plymouth Festival of Lights, and have become a regular dance gig for the Latin community of New Plymouth. With sax, trombone, congas, keys, accordion, guitar, vocals, and live loop tracks, Banana Mundo supplies a full sound, guaranteed to get any audience moving and dancing.
