After a 14-year career that started with his acclaimed debut Lucky Man (2013), SWISS, a Proud Tongan NZ is back to take the industry by storm with his long-awaited second album, PEPA. Powered by BLK ENTERTAINMENT, DRM NZ, and with support from NZ On Air, this project marks a significant chapter in his musical journey.
PEPA—an ode to ‘the journey’—draws its title from a part of Swiss’ government name, symbolising personal connection and growth. This album blends soulful, thought -provoking, and heartfelt melodies, offering something for everyone. From start to finish, each track is carefully crafted by Swiss, who executive-produced, mixed, and mastered the entire project himself. PEPA promises to touch the heart and move the feet, showcasing SWISS' elevation as an artist.
This body of work represents more than just music—it’s a reclaiming of joy, passion, and a return to his roots. With this album, SWISS embarks on a new era, encouraging self-expression and inspiring others to follow their dreams. ABOUT SWISS
SWISS is a proud Tongan-New Zealand artist, born in Lower Hutt, NZ, and raised in Brisbane, Australia. Now residing in Auckland, the 32-year-old celebrated Pasifika musician is making waves in the NZ music scene with the announcement of his upcoming album, PEPA.
A talented singer, songwriter, executive producer, and live performer, SWISS has established himself as a leading artist of today. His music draws inspiration from his family, faith, and the pursuit of reaching his fullest potential. He first captured international attention in 2012 with his debut single, Slow Wind, and quickly made his mark by signing with the iconic NZ label Dawn Raid Entertainment. Together, they released the Mr Slow Wind EP (2012) and the Lucky Man album (2013), earning him the Best Pacific Male Artist and People's Choice Pacific Music Awards.
In 2015, SWISS took his career into his own hands, becoming an independent artist and founding BLK ENTERTAINMENT LTD, a successful independent record label that he continues to run today.
By 2024, SWISS has grown both personally and professionally, with a diverse catalogue and a dedicated fan base. His hit single If Tomorrow Never Comes and independently released tracks She Don’t Want My Love and Homebound are all RIAA-certified gold. He has performed across the globe, including in the USA, Hawaii, Australia, Samoa, Tonga, Niue, Solomon Islands, Fiji, and the Cook Islands.
This year, SWISS headlined major Pasifika and Poly festivals in Christchurch, Levin, Dunedin, and Porirua, as well as in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia. Through his music, SWISS continues to inspire self-expression and serves as a positive influence, spreading messages of hope, light, and possibility.
