Ōtautahi Indie-Pop artist Amber Carly Williams releases the second single, Life Of The Party, off of her upcoming EP. With a great response following on from her first single ‘Kids On The Internet’, Amber has gained the love of fans around Aotearoa. Amber has a unique ability to connect with audiences through her soulful vocals and heartfelt songwriting, exploring themes of self-discovery and personal growth. Collaborating with producer/musician Terence O’Connor as part of NZ On Air’s Development program, the two creatives have crafted a song that immediately sits comfortably alongside the likes of international stars Beabadoobee and Lizzy McAlpine.
Life Of The Party is a song Amber wrote intending to have a light-hearted twist to anxiety and overthinking. The song beautifully encapsulates how it can be walking into a room and feeling the pressure to put on a front, as if one cannot be their authentic self without fearing conflict or rejection. This single serves as the people-pleaser anthem of the EP, resonating with anyone who has ever felt the need to conform to societal expectations.
