The Latin Sound of The South Island is coming to Wellington, presenting “Colectivo”, a unique combination of dance, house and Latin music. All made in Aotearoa!
After a great start with the release of their first album, making the Radio one Dunedin top 11 for 3 consecutive weeks, Ed and the Shadow Boys are bringing their Electronic Love to Wellington, starting with Beervana to celebrate Emersons’s 30th anniversary, and finishing at Rogue and Vagabond. But there is a twist, The Shadow Boys are not going to be machines but real people this time and they are some of the best known Jazz musicians in Dunedin.
Get ready for a big band sound party times at the biggest craft beer event in the country and enjoy the colours of Latin music.

Who are Ed and the Shadow Boys? Ed is a Latin percussionist, song writer and music director from Dunedin, the Shadow boys are an analogy for the machines he used to make his project, in other words, imaginary musicians he made up in the middle of the COVID lockdowns. Ed has been an active, world-travelling musician most of his life and his music tells the story of his musical journey.
