If the sea could speak it would have many stories to tell. Old Salts’ latest release ‘Stories Told by the Sea’ is a moody ballad that takes you on a journey through a spiritual realm.
This mysterious melody brings you to the seashore at sunset while the bonfire comes alight, and as the guitar solo sets in, you’ll feel like you’ll never want to leave this realm.

'Stories told by the Sea' will be the third of four songs to be released off their forthcoming EP also called ‘Stories told by the Sea’ due out 2022.
Each song brings its own vibe to the EP while still falling within the parameters of alt rock. From serious to satire, moody rock ballads to angsty rock anthems – it's a four-flavour taster pack which will pack a punch.
So far released is the angst filled anti-protest protest rock anthem Itchy Feet released last month and their debut release 'Take a Breather' described by Ben Ruegg from Muzicnet as
“Citing influences such as Primus and Them Crooked Vultures, you can definitely hear this in the way the song, not only sounds but how it is written and arranged. It is raw. It is real.”

Alt rockers Old Salts hail from the shores of Bream Bay, Northland.
An "old salt" is defined as an old sailor or mariner who tells oral history and sea stories. While these boys don’t claim to be old salty sea dogs they all love spinning a yarn and share a connection with the ocean whether it's surfing, fishing or diving. They are brought together with a passion for playing music and want to create something a bit different.
