The Music Managers Forum Aotearoa are pleased to announce the August Members Online Session. These hangouts are small on-line sessions, held via Zoom for 10 to 15 MMF members. This allows for a more intimate group learning environment where our members can be upskilled in important areas of music management.
The Online Session for August is:
Tim Bern - Koze Music (sync and pub admin agency based in LA) and DISCO (leading music management tool)
Tim is the Head of New Markets and Education at DISCO.ac. He helped launch DISCO (first boots on the ground) in Los Angeles in 2016 and has grown and trained the user base to become the sync industry standard for music supervisors and rights holders to manage, search, and share files. Aside from DISCO, Tim co-owns Koze Music, a worldwide publishing administration and sync agency based in Los Angeles and Nashville.
In this session Tim will give a general insight about the sync market from being in the midst of it in Los Angeles:
- Some tips on how to get and work with sync agents to be more effective.
- Importance of metadata and how you present yourself when pitching
- Good sync representation contracts vs bad contracts
Date: Tuesday 17th August
Time: 6.00pm – 7.00pm
RSVP: For MMF members only lorraine.owen@mmf.co.nz
