Mousey released her debut album last year and quickly made a name for herself as a rising star, even managing to get a Silver Scroll nomination for her first ever single.
In this slow-paced, introspective video, Mousey embraces the melancholy side of her writing and personality in a song about going through a breakup. Mousey says, “It’s about the loss of someone who you used to spend all your time with, but now you’re left not being able to do the things you used to, and the other person was the only reason those things were interesting anyway. They’ve been ripped out of your life, leaving a gaping hole and now you’ve got too much time to think about them when all you want to do is move on. Those memories are no longer good, they’ve been tainted, a waste of time.”
Hopeless in Love is the last video to be released from LEMON LAW, before Mousey heads to the studio to record her next album in October.
