LISA CRAWLEY RELEASES RETRO POP SINGLE ‘TRAGEDY BOY’

After gigging for 35 nights in a row on a boat across the Mexican Riviera to get to her new home of Los Angeles, Lisa Crawley has finally unpacked her suitcases.

Having previously written and produced the majority of her material herself, Crawley has expanded her horizons and collaborated with Grammy Nominated Producer producer Rob Kleiner (Sia, The Weekend, LP). Rob noted that the majority of Crawley’s past material has opted for a ‘funny/sad’ take on things and suggested they wrote a song titled Tragedy Boy.

The Nancy Sinatra-meets-Lily Allen inspired pop number (which features Crawley’s Suzuki Q-Chord) was created and introduced to the world by featuring recently on the celebrated American crime drama TV series Stumptown

Over the last year, Crawley has starred in the critically acclaimed theatre production of ONCE: The Musical in her home town of Auckland, New Zealand, travelled the world with her music, and created She Plays, You Sing, a piano karaoke event that has packed out venues wherever she goes. Somehow between all of this, Lisa has found time to release the singles Girl With No Name and Best Thing In The Room, as well as Songs I Like But Did Not Write, a solo piano and vocal EP that reworks some of her favourite songs. Lisa is working towards her third studio album, due for release at the end of the year
