The New Zealand Music Commission Going Global Emerging Professionals Scholarship is one of the upskilling and development initiatives for the Music Commission in 2019. This is the second year the Scholarships are being offered after a developmental pilot in 2018. The Scholarship’s are available to emerging musicians and music industry professionals who are looking at to increase their industry knowledge and start to prepare to take their music, or their artist’s music, to the world.
The Scholarship offers a financial contribution towards the cost of travel (flights/petrol if driving), transfers and accommodation in Auckland, plus a two day pass to the Going Global Music Summit, held in Auckland on Friday 30 August and Saturday 31 August at Roundhead Studios. The Scholarship also includes an invitation to the opening reception on Thursday evening (optional) and a ticket to the Going Global Music Showcase on Saturday night. Dependent on the location of the successful participants there will be a minimum of four, maximum of six, scholarships awarded.
Emerging music professionals nationwide who are eager to gain experienced music industry insight from both local and international music industry experts are encouraged to apply.
