Native Nations to support King Kapisi

Husband and wife duo Native Nations fuse cultural tradition and contemporary realities in their conscious upbeat music: a blend of roots, “Rez” and Aotearoa reggae. Native Nations will be supporting King Kapisi in Rotorua celebrating NZ Music Month 2019.


Marcus Ridge is a Diné (Navajo), Cherokee and Hopi Native American based out of 
Na’Neelzhiin, Torreon, New Mexico.  An experienced multi-instrument musician, composer singer and producer of Native Nations music.  Katerina Pihera-Ridge makes up the ‘other half’ of Native Nations.   Katerina is a composer, arranger and lead singer who affiliates to Te Arawa, Ngā Puhi and the Czech Republic.   They met through music in Albuquerque, NM and are now based in Rotorua, Aotearoa, NZ raising their two “MāoriDiné” children.
