Returning home after an extensive tour of Europe, Australia and the UK, national treasure Louis Baker is happy to announce a select run of South Island shows, bringing the soul of his new record Open to the southern-most reaches of Aotearoa. From November 16-24, Baker will visit five intimate venues from Takaka to Invercargill where fans can get up-close and personal with one of the New Zealand’s most compelling modern soul singer-songwriters and R&B voices.
Tickets are on sale now from (www.louisbaker.co.nz). Make sure to book now, as Baker’s recent New Zealand album tour produced two sold-out shows in Auckland and Baker’s hometown, Wellington. Despite playing to a packed room, you could hear a pin drop as the audience held onto every word and melody.
To finish off a stellar year for the celebrated kiwi artist, Baker is nominated for two NZ Music Awards (Best Soul/R&B Artist, Best Māori Artist). The NZ Music Awards take place on November 14th at Auckland’s Spark Arena.
