The Thomas Brothers have released ‘This Is Our Time’ - the second single from their upcoming album due out later this year.
‘This Is Our Time’ is a contemplative, piano-driven ballad, which showcases the songwriting prowess of the band’s lead singer Samuel Thomas.
“I wrote it for my wife Patrycja when she was going through a bit of a hard time,” says Sam. He adds that it has gone on to become an anthem for the band (Sam and his three brothers - Josh, Joe and Ben.
“Sometimes it feels like things are going well for everyone around you and you wonder when your time will come. ‘This Is Our Time’ is a positive statement for when times are tough. It’s a song we are proud to perform as a family. It brings us closer together,” says Sam, who also produced the song.
‘This is Our Time’ follows the Thomas Brothers’ first single ‘Sorry’ from the band’s sophomore full-length album, which will be released later this year.
“[‘Sorry’ is] a hook-filled, upbeat pop song, but delve deeper and it’s a song with substance and meaning, both in its intricate instrumentation and its lyrical content” - music.net.nz
‘Sorry’ received radio play in New Zealand and landed at #13 on the NZ Hot 20 Singles chart.
