This year, Newtown venue Moon will host some of Wellington’s most exciting new musicians, courtesy of Bottlecap Music (Callum Campbell). Opening Night will see a range of new artists performing live across three nights in March, April and May, premiering brand new material, and putting a fresh spin on old formats.
While each Opening Night will offer a different flavour, all will serve to give our future musical storytellers the opportunity to cut their teeth in a live music environment. Artists performing are students of Massey University’s Bachelor of Commercial Music programme, with styles ranging from singer-songwriter to hip-hop and electronic.
Entry is free, so come along, hear some great local music, and bear witness to a new wave of groundbreaking performers on their Opening Night.
