Alan is the Outward Sound and International Manager for the New Zealand Music Commission. The International office undertakes projects and partnerships aimed at exporting NZ music and assisting music businesses in working internationally – including the Outward Sound international music market development grants programme.
Prior to joining the Music Commission Alan was the General Manager and main buyer for Global Routes Distribution, owner of two clothing stores – Bunny Boutique and the New Zealand branch of the Beastie Boys affiliated street-wear label X-Large – and for much of the 90s worked at the world-renowned independent label Flying Nun Records where his roles included import, export and production managing.
