With over 20 years in the local and international Music industry, Gavin Downie has toured NZ as Stage Tech and Production Manager for Dave Dobbyn, The Feelers, Opshop and Elemeno P, Shapeshifter and Shihad just to name a few. He has toured internationally with Wiz Khalifa, The Cranberries, Strung Out and Dr Hook. Gavin moved into a Production Manager role for The Powerstation, Live Nation and Robin Fernando while working on the local tours for a plethora of artists from Kendrick Lamar to Biffy Clyro, global hip hop stars to metal and touring rock acts. For the past 10 months Gavin has held the Lead Event Organiser portfolio for Music in Parks at Auckland Council, which is a series of 24 free music events across the Auckland region, programming emerging, local and established acts in parks free for all ages with a variety of music genres delivered between January – April 2019. Event audiences vary from 500 – 12,000 people per event with popular Summer Jam, Blues at Blockhouse Bay and the Rotunda series proven favourites!
