UNLOCKING SHOWCASE SUCCESS

with Mikee Carpinter & Helena Bakker

The Music Managers Forum Aotearoa are pleased to offer their members this recording of their July Members Online Seminar with Mikee Carpinter and Helena Bakker. Due to technical difficulties, this seminar appears in an audio-only format.

In this exclusive session, join the MMF Aotearoa as they discover how showcases like Big Sound and Going Global can propel your career by putting you directly in front of industry professionals. Hear firsthand from two artist managers who have successfully showcased their artists and learn essential strategies for crafting the ideal setlist, managing logistics seamlessly and harnessing networking opportunities to expand your network and gain industry recognition.

Mikee Carpinter is an experienced music manager with over 20 years in the New Zealand music industry. He has a proven track record of successfully guiding new acts into the industry, offering expert guidance on all aspects of the music business including funding, radio pitching, team building, content creation, and release strategies. With a passion for the industry and a wealth of knowledge and experience, Mikee is dedicated to helping musicians achieve their goals and reach their full potential. His work with acts such as Georgia Lines highlights his ability to effectively manage and bring success to musicians.

Helena Bakker is an experienced Artist Manager who has been overseeing the career of electrifying Afro-Kiwi alt-rap artist Jujulipps for over 3 years. She is a proud Bigpop team member, handling the company's label, distribution, and publishing admin. Originally from Italy, Helena moved to Aotearoa in 2010. Her musical journey began with a deep-rooted love for rock and metal music and events and she spent most of her early adulthood as a serial gig-goer in Wellington, floating between San Fran, Meow and Valhalla. Helena's background includes playing bass and working for local summer festivals (Cuba Dupa, Coastella, R&V), and she now frequents large-scale music events with her team and plan release strategies for the Bigpop artists including Jujulipps. When not immersed in the music scene, she enjoys painting, crochet and being a dedicated cat mum.
