The Auckland based Black Sabbath tribute act ‘After Forever’ have been eagerly awaiting their return to Christchurch. After the first Covid-19 NZ lockdown rudely interrupted their plans to visit the South Island early 2020, their date with their patient Southern fans has rescheduled for 5th June 2021.
The original event had seen support from local Prog-Psych Rock band Stonehurst, however this time around, the event will see support from ‘Sabotage Theory’, a spectacular act performing a tribute to the one and only Soundgarden, instead of their usual Rage Against The Machine act.
Proving to be one hell of a combo of acts, Tombstone Entertainment has teamed up with COSMIC, committed to make this a night to remember. 5th June at The Embankment Tavern, $20+bf through COSMIC Ticketing, or $30 door sales.
With over 10 years under their belt, After Forever continue to deliver some of the finest riffs ever crafted in rock history, along with vocals that uncannily sound just like Ozzy, if you close your eyes, you’d swear you were listening to the real thing. Along with having members from NZ legendary rock acts Cripple Mr. Onion, His Masters Voice, Just One Fix, Metaract and more, it’s safe to say these well-seasoned and talented musicians are capable of handling such a big task and filling these fairy-worn boots!
