Nicky Harrop  - Rhythmethod

Nicky is the General Manager of Rhythmethod, Aotearoa’s largest independent music distributor. She is also the Independent Director on the board of Recorded Music NZ.

Prior to this, Nicky spent many years working at record labels in marketing, promotions and label management. She has consulted as a film & television researcher for music-based projects, and developed the Music Industry major for Massey University’s Bachelor of Commercial Music degree.

Lydia Jenkin is Communications and Events Manager | Te Kaiwhakahaere o ngā Hui me ngā Whakapātanga at APRA AMCOS NZ. Based in Tamaki Makaurau, the role involves all NZ communication strategies and elements, as well as managing all awards programs and events, including producing the Silver Scroll Awards. Before joining the APRA AMCOS team, she was a music and entertainment journalist for more than a decade, and is a lifelong lover of music and keen gig goer.

Jo Oliver – SoundCheck Aotearoa

Jo Oliver is General Counsel and Govt Affairs for Recorded Music NZ. She is responsible for legal and corporate matters for Recorded Music NZ and regularly works on behalf of the wider music industry on projects including the government’s review of the Copyright Act. Prior to joining Recorded Music NZ Jo spent several years based in London as General Counsel for IFPI, the body that represents the recording industry globally.

Emily Crowther, New Zealand Music Commission: Aotearoa Touring Programme Manager

Emily is the Programme Manager for 2020-created Aotearoa Touring Programme, a new scheme to support the touring circuit for original music in New Zealand. The Programme is part of the government’s NZ Music COVID Recovery Package, and the wider Arts & Culture COVID Recovery Programme being implemented by Manatū Taonga, the Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Its over-arching goal is more local artists growing sustainable careers; and increasing the access to live music for New Zealand audiences.

Ash handles content creation and music communications from the Auckland office, and joined NZ On Air after working for APRA AMCOS in membership and events. Ash is also a songwriter and artist and her experience as a performer drives her passion for supporting other New Zealand artists in their careers. She has a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from the University of Auckland.
